Sunrise Around the Globe

Came across this concept of "Social Sunrise Shootup" through Kunal Kumar's tweets. The concept is everyone will shoot the new year sunrise at their respective places and will share at a common place. The common place will be a flickr group. The idea excited me because I am crazy for sunrises and sunsets. I just love watching the sunrises and sunse

Of movies and all

Last few days, with nothing much to do in life {Not because of recession, because of college holidays}, I'm glued to screens. Laptop, mobile and big screen. Watching movie seems to be the only task in hand. Last few days, I watched some flicks including Dasvidaniya, Maharathi, Savarkhed Ek Gao, Socha Na Tha, Dil Kabaddi, Oye Lucky Lucky Oye, Sorry Bhai, Dostana etc. Well, some did give me joy of watching. So disappointed. And some made me wonder why the hell the screen existed

7 ways to ruin your interview

Disclaimer: I had no intention of putting up this post. Unitechy is to be blamed for this useless post.

How to ruin your interview with the HR:

1. Pretend you have no weaknesses. Or tell me that your biggest weakness is perfectionism and you work too hard. You might as well wear a sign saying, "I'm bullshitting you."

2. Ask questions about the company that could have easily been answered with a modicum of research.

3. Be as quiet as possible. It shoul… Continue

5 ways to add romance to old relationships

1. Break the rules Routine kills the romance because we get bored very easily. And that's why everyone loves surprises and adventure. If your love life is in rut, try something new. Break some habits. If the rule is that your partner always takes the first move, you should break the rule. It's important to take the initiative. If you find resistance, that just means you haven't found the right idea. Keep experimenting.

2. "Connect" each day
While we all like to

The reason for contacting you is to get your opinion about tobacco in India. The use of tobacco in India has been quite rampant, its going to kill over 1 million people by 2010 in India. So we have a chance to do something about it since the World Conference on Tobacco or Health is going to take place in Mumbai next month.

India Matters gives you the platform to speak your mind on this issue, whether it is for it or against, we want to know what the youth thinks about tobacco usage, policies, the ban, gutkha, children getting addicted to tobacco etc. I am doing this on behalf of Salaam Bombay, the NGO that fights for tobacco addiction in children.

Your opinion will be put forward to the policy makers during the event by Salaam Bombay, since they are the organisers of this event. It will be published on India Matters, Opinions with a link to your site or blog. You can have a look at some of the opinions posted as well.

Hoping to hear from you on this.

Bhavika
